Every client brings a story. Some clients bring stories that are wide-eyed and inexperienced. Others are stories of struggle with many hard-learned lessons to reach success. Whatever the case, my job is to come alongside these stories and help my clients determine a hope and plan for their financial future.
Every client is a person. I know first-hand that sharing hopes, fears, or inexperience can be intimidating. This is why I serve my clients with hospitality, empathy, and confidentiality. Open, honest conversations establish a freedom to discover what financial excellence truly means to each client.
Every client is a partner. Because every client has the right and obligation to ensure our relationship and plans make sense to them, I encourage clients to be assertive and inquisitive. Questions and discussion lead to a better understanding of investments and financial planning. As we work together to determine the best path forward, open-mindedness and dialogue lead to innovative and meaningful solutions.
I utilize fee-only, independent advice unique to your circumstances and goals. This is the most transparent, respectful way for me to serve you.
I maintain a fiduciary relationship that is confidential, committed to excellence and focused on you. I act as your primary source of integration and collaboration between all your advisors.
I hold the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation and am a member of the Financial Planning Association. I serve on the national Volunteer Advisory Board of BetterInvesting, a non-profit educational organization, dedicated to empowering individual investors.

Real life has real needs and real dreams and needs a real plan. Hope is not a plan. I help you explore your current financial situation and clarify your goals. We discuss obstacles, personal and external, and ways to deal with them. We build on positive areas and design a customized plan and strategy to reach your goals as efficiently as possible.
Our questions are designed to identify your lifestyle needs as painlessly as possible. Personal cash flow forms the basis of all plans. It is not how much you make but what you do with it that leads to financial freedom.
Looming retirement, voluntary or forced, is often the main reason people talk with a CFP®. I help you analyze your current lifestyle and explore options to support you throughout life. We formulate a workable, fluid plan incorporating as many individual goals as you wish.
Whether you are providing for your spouse and children, your business or your estate, insurance needs are analyzed. Should you need life, disability or long-term care insurance we work with our network of qualified agents to meet the need. We do not sell insurance.
Using your plan as a guide, we work with a team of estate/tax attorneys to design the estate tools you need to accurately, privately and quickly settle your affairs. We are not attorneys.
We invest with tax consequences in mind, not as a driver of choice but just one aspect of efficient investing. Roth conversion analysis is done, including how to pay the taxes. Required minimum distribution calculations are performed for retirees and beneficiaries. We are not accountants but we proactively analyze your situation for safe ways to minimize taxes.
In this time of uncertainty it helps to have a CFP® analyze your unique Social Security and Health Insurance opportunities. Smart choices can make significant improvements on your cash flow.

We pursue a holistic approach, incorporating all your investments in your plan. Look in the Blog for our Annual ADV for more specifics. Whether we design a portfolio for you to then shepherd on your own or we do the implementation, the keys: are regular deposits, diversified holdings appropriate to your personality, quarterly reviews for quality and a steely focus on your goals.
Retirement, or the lack of a paycheck, changes everything. It is far harder to handle a portfolio once you start taking money out than it is when you make regular deposits. Let us help you design and implement a withdrawal strategy that is conservative enough to last and flexible enough to adapt.
